Change that crackly/noisy instrument, it REALLY screws up the melody.
And then It'll be okay.

It would be better if it was loopable, then it could be one of them old boss fight melodies.

It's kinda short for a boss fight I think. Makes me think of some hyperspace sequence in an 8bit shoot'em up.

This isn't exactly ambient.

Ambient doesn't mean the same 'sameness' over and over again :P
Ambient should really just relax your mind, and some parts of this song aren't really relaxing.
I would put this either in video games or one of those other genres I don't know about.
But NOT ambient.
It is pretty awesome though, has a cool melody indeed.
Still 10/10 and 5/5 because nepotism. :D

Well this doesn't really fit in a genre, but it does have an ambient atmosphere. I guess if people would want a song like this for their game, they would search in the 'ambient' genre.

Excellent Work.

Sounds quite fun to me, but, I do have the feeling that I could have some heavy, low voice singing in it.
Like a n***a voice, which would be very Ironic for the song.

Real music.

I like it that you recorded it with a real instrument, in my eyes, doing something with real instruments is already excellent.
The melody sounds like it could be in a cutscene where the hero flies in his ship towards his planet, wondering what happened to it in the last 10 years, since he hasn't been on it for that long, and had no contact with it...
It's musically well done, but I would also really like if you maybe put some synthesizer on background, something to make it a little more ambient.

Anyway, well done :)

*Blessed light follows the hero as he runs into the horde of minions, he knows the curse he laid upon himself, he may defeat the army, but with each minion killed, he destroys a part of himself, due to the balance of the world. He clashes, and dashes through the army, and then uses his last strength to chop the last minion to the ground.
As he does so, he falls on his knees, the curse has been lifted, and he passes away, his body blessed with the cuts of victory.
He disappears in a flash and soon enough people start coming out of their houses to witness the half burned ground, ready to be rebuilt*

I can point out the good things in this composition, but it'll be easier to say what was wrong with it, being nothing.

i always make my stuff long and epic. i was hoping that SOMEONE would make it all the way to the orchestral stuff towards the end.

thanks for the review man, PLEASE go ahead and check out my other stuff, you'll like it. ive got more sound on the way now that ive finally been approved.

and as for the funk thing, i couldn't exactly pick one genre that encompassed the whole thing, so i just took a shot in the dark.
